Volunteer Chair Role For New City Destination Steering Group
Shaping Portsmouth is pleased to announce the formation of the new Destination Steering Group which, with Visit Portsmouth, will oversee the key elements of the tourism strategy for the city. This unpaid role will replace the current voluntary Chair position of our Destination Marketing Partnership programme.
The commitment expected from the successful candidate is approximately 3 to 4 hours a month, preparing and leading the meetings. Additionally, one of the first responsibilities of the Chair will be to call on attractions and venues in the city to become members of the Steering Group, which will require some additional time committed.
One of the other key voluntary roles needed will be an Administrative Assistant for this new group. No funds exist to provide this hence we will need to secure support for this role.
The closing date for applications is Monday 12th March.
Interviews will be held on Monday 16th April.
