On the 2nd of December 2017, the fifth annual Small Business Saturday will take place in small businesses across the country. Local boutique yarn store and haberdashery Seeded on Winter Road, Southsea is just one of the many stores delighted to be involved.
They say “Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, noncommercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities. The day itself takes place on the first Saturday in December each year, but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses."
Seeded will be getting involved by hosting a day long event - from 10:00 Portsmouth City Band will be joining them to play festive tunes and creative shopping, inspiration and nibbles are all planned.
"Its really important for us as a small independent business to get involved each year," says Alexsis of Seeded, "its also a great opportunity for us to engage with our customers and the wider community to speak to them about what the Seeded creative community is about, over a mince pie and mulled apple juice!"
