Portsmouth Together Logo transparent webPortsmouth Together now has over 1,200 registered volunteers supporting organisations and communities across the city and the numbers continue to grow. Volunteers make a huge contribution to the city and there are many opportunities for those interested in volunteering.

Portsmouth Together is also launching its fourth 'Inspiring Volunteer Awards which will take place during National Volunteers' Week in June.

The awards celebrate the diverse work of the city's volunteers with new categories this year including 'Loving Our Volunteers' award for organisations, 'Thinking Different' and 'Community Business' awards. For entry details visit

Cllr Luke Stubbs, Deputy Leader of Portsmouth City Council said "Volunteers play a significant role in supporting our communities - they benefit both local businesses and charitable organisations alike. Volunteering is hugely rewarding and a great way to learn new skills and meet new people and there are many opportunities for people can give something back to their community by volunteering."
