Comic fans, assemble! This Father’s Day weekend, Port Solent invites guests to grab their capes, awaken their spidey senses and dust off their lightsabers for a new, bigger and better than ever Comic Con event.

On Saturday 16th June, the south’s biggest free Comic Con event will transport guests to the iconic worlds and galaxies of their favourite movies, television shows and comic books.

Port SolentBuilding on last year's hugely successful event, Port Solent, in conjunction with GoGeek Events, has brought some exciting new attractions and evening entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Guests will have to be on their guard, as the undead will be on the march in a thrilling new interactive zombie experience that will be sure to give anyone a fright.

The event will also offer fans the opportunity to immerse themselves in their favourite comic universes and get up close and personal with a variety of movie memorabilia, as well as meet like-minded fans from across the south.

Professional character costumers and cosplayers will offer fans a great opportunity to meet their heroes and get a photograph. Autograph hunters are encouraged to bring their pens and favorite memorabilia to come and meet the real stars from films including Harry Potter, Star Wars and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Port Solent’s Lisa Fowler, said “Following the popularity of last year’s event we’re delighted to bring back Comic Con to the families and cosplayers of Portsmouth, with an even bigger and better offering. We hope people will dress up and embrace the Comic Con scene and enjoy the truly unique experiences on offer.”

With over 17 bars and restaurants to choose from, there is a huge choice of food and drink available for visitors to make a day of it, and with free parking, guests can fight crime, save the galaxy or sail the seven seas for as long as they want.
