Gunwharf Quays has raised a staggering total of £36,168 for charity partners, Barnardo’s and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
The south coast shopping centre raised £7,924 during their one-year partnership with Barnardo’s, partnered with an astonishing £28,244 for their two-year partnership with the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. With event’s including ‘Light it up for Barnardo’s’ last year, which saw thousands enjoy a spectacular evening of fireworks and entertainment earlier this year.
Commenting on the charity partnerships, Colin Wilding, General Manager at Gunwharf Quays said “It was an absolute pleasure to work with two very different charities that are integral to our local community. The staff at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance work tirelessly, 365 days a year, to save people in critical incidents located in sometimes inaccessible places. Barnardo’s bring hope to many vulnerable young people experiencing abuse.”
Since joining forces with the charities Gunwharf Quays has held numerous events from 2016 to April 2018. Gunwharf Quays recently announced their new charity partnership for 2018/19 with Jacks Place and Naomi House. The centre will be hosting a calendar of fundraising events throughout the coming months.
