Gunwharf Quays is calling for community partners to apply for a unique local funding scheme; Gunwharf Quays Supporting Others’ Success. The scheme, which aims to support Portsmouth’s long term unemployed with jobs and opportunities, is receiving applications until 30th September 2018.
Applications of up to £4,000 can be requested each year from community partners, which will then be reviewed by a Committee to ensure funding is allocated as effectively as possible.
Yvonne Clay, Senior Marketing Manager at Gunwharf Quays, said: “We have a vision to create more opportunities for our local community, be it through training, qualifications, apprenticeship schemes or work experience opportunities. Gunwharf Quays Supporting Others’ Success is an exciting initiative that gives local organisations the opportunity to apply for funding to be used to specifically support learning and career development.
“Since its launch earlier this year, the scheme has provided grants totalling £20,000. Local organisations including Lily and Lime, Moitiv8 South, Volition Portsmouth and the Society of St James all benefitted.”
Gunwharf Quays Supporting Others’ Success is open for submissions from local organisations wishing to apply until 30th September 2018. For more information, including application forms, visit https://gunwharf-quays.com/our-business/giving-back.
