This month social enterprise and venue operator BH Live is hosting a #RunAndTalk event in Portsmouth to support local mental health – and everyone is welcome to join in.
#RunAndTalk is an England Athletics campaign, supported by Mind the mental health charity. During 6-12 October 2018, England Athletics is encouraging people across the country to run one mile or further and to have a chat with friends, family, colleagues or other runners. This can be done at a time and location of their choice or by joining one of the organised runs at an England Athletics club or RunTogether group. The aim is to improve mental wellbeing through running and to break down the stigma associated with mental health by getting people talking about it.
BH Live is organising a one hour #RunAndTalk event on Monday 8 October 2018 at 6.30pm starting at the front of Pyramids Centre in Southsea.
The run will be 3k with options for walkers, joggers and runners. People with pushchairs and prams are also welcome. It is £2 per person to join in (free with a BH Live Active membership).
Everyone is welcome whether new to running, looking to get back into it or already a regular runner.
To join in register at RunTogether.co.uk and search for Pyramids, Southsea.
