Half Term fun at Portsmouth Museums

There's plenty of activities to entertain the children this half term at museums across the city:

  • Southsea Wildlife Watch - Saturday 20 October at Cumberland House Natural History Museum from 10-12pm. £4 per child, dress warmly as the activities take place outside, children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • What Big Bugs - Tuesday 23 October at Cumberland House Natural History Museum from 10.30-12.30pm & 2-4pm. Get up close to hissing cockroaches, stick insects and other creepy crawlies, suitable for families, all children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Playful Printmaking - Tuesday 23 October at Portsmouth Museum from 10.30-12.30 & 1.30-3.30pm. Create colourful prints inspired by artwork on show at Portsmouth Museum in this fun and messy family friendly workshop. Cost £3 per child No booking required.
  • Marvellous Moths - Wednesday 24 October at Cumberland House Natural History Museum from 10-11am, 11.30-12.30pm, 1.30-2.30pm, 3-4pm. See if you can separate the butterflies from the moths in our insect trays and design your own marvellous moth to take home.
  • Cost £2.50 per child booking advised telephone 023 9281 5276.
  • Visit from the Portsmouth RNLI - Wednesday 24 October at Portsmouth Museum, 11-3pm. Come and meet the lifeboat crew and learn about safety at the beach. Free
  • Airfix Extravaganza - Thursday 25 October 2018 at The D-Day Story - 10-4pm. Have fun making and painting your own genuine Airfix model to take home. Cost £2 per model. Normal admission fees apply.
  • Nocturnal Animals - Friday 26 October at Portsmouth Museum, 10.30-11.30 & 12-1pm
  • Discover some of the animals that come out at night with a senses quiz and crafts. Cost £2.50 per child no booking required.
