Local skateboard shop Bored of Southsea are just about to celebrate 21 years of business, and as part of their birthday festivities, the Albert Road based shop is looking to re-issue one of it's most popular t-shirt designs from over the past two decades. And they're asking their customers and the local community to help choose which of their old designs the people want to see make a come back.
Over the years this local shop has worked with many incredible artists and designers, some of them friends and local designers like Jon Banthorpe, Bruce Jamieson (Senior Designer at I Love Dust), Rob Trigg (Addict and Palace Skateboards) and Handsome Steve Windslade. As well as working with some of the best artists and designers in UK skateboarding they've even had a collaboration with legendary print artist and paper cut supremo Rob Ryan.
Producing and selling their own shop product and store t-shirts has always been a really important part of Bored of Southsea's business and they've enjoyed continued support from the local community for many years, as well as seeing their designs worn with pride not only locally but also regularly spotted in far flung destinations across the globe. Some of their designs are only produced in limited runs and others like their ever popular Southsea Bronx Strong Island logo have been in print continuously since their early days, and the Jon B t-shirt has even been re-designed a few times with small tweaks made to it when the shop moved from Elm Grove to its current location in Albert Road where it's been for over fifteen years.
So as part of their birthday delve into the Bored of Southsea design vaults the guys have picked out 21 of their old shop tee's, and are going to let you choose your favourite from their back catalogue.
