Making Waves Festival asks for local film submissions

Making Waves bgIf you have recently made a film then you maybe eligible for a cash prize of £200 and the opportunity to have your film included in this year’s Making Waves International Film Festival.

Films should have been completed after the 1st February 2018, they should have been produced in the South Hampshire, Solent, IoW region and the producer, writer or director should also come from this area to be eligible to submit your film.

The deadline for submissions is midnight on 2nd August 2019 and you and simply upload your film to the online portal at https://filmfreeway.com/MWIFF19

Couldn’t be simpler.

Shortlisted films will be first of all screened at the Making Waves International Film Festival at The Wedgewood Rooms in November. Following which they will be automatically entered into the prestigious Guide Award for the best Local Short Film, presented in association with Portsmouth Film Society.

An online competition will give local people the opportunity to select the best film, and the winner will be presented with their prize and trophy in January 2020 at the Guide Awards, the celebration of local arts and culture hosted by The News.
