Councillor Lee Hunt, cabinet member for Community Safety at Portsmouth City Council said: "Come along and enjoy the celebration of the rich diversity of culture in our city. Our Community Festival last year involved over 30 community groups and organisations and attracted over 400 visitors. The event will be lots of fun and provides the opportunity for people to make new friends and connections as well as enjoying a wide range of cultural experiences. The Community Festival creates an opportunity to break down barriers and have fun while learning about different communities and cultures. We will have lots of fun games, activities, food stalls, and performances alongside information about different communities and services in the city."

Firefighter and Community Inclusion Team Coordinator Jasper Taylor said "Once again we are opening our doors to the communities that we serve in the City of Portsmouth as we had a very successful family fun day event last year. It is a great opportunity to showcase the diversity and different cultures in our City and to celebrate this together.
We welcome everyone to join us at this very special event. "

Acting Inspector Dean Juster said “We will be supporting our partners at the UN International Day of Peace Community Festival, as we continue to work with communities to build trust and confidence and maintain community cohesion. This will be a great, free event for all the community and we look forward to engaging with all the diverse communities that make up the City of Portsmouth.”
