Hovertravel has won the Corporate Social Responsibility Award at the Portsmouth Business Excellence Awards. This is the first time that Hovertravel has entered these awards, so the team is especially proud to have their work with their HoverCare initiative recognised by such an established awards scheme.
Head of Marine Operations at Hovertravel, Steve Attrill, collected the award and said: “We are very excited to receive this recognition for HoverCare. We are passionate about accessibility and this award belongs to everyone at Hovertravel. As a business we have invested in training and additional facilities, but it is our staff who deliver the customer experience.”
Competition for the award was fierce with many other deserving local businesses in contention. Following a strict judging and interview process including an onsite visit, overseen by event sponsors BAE Systems and Trethowans Solicitors, the judges were impressed by the dedication of the staff to make hovercraft flights accessible for all.
