Active staff from Portsmouth City Council got on their bikes for their daily commute on Wednesday 15th August for the national Cycle to Work Day.

Cycle to Work Day has been running since 2012 and is the UK’s biggest cycle commuting event.

Portsmouth International Port's new £9m linkspan has been officially opened by Shipping Minister Nusrat Ghani MP.

The linkspan, which is best described as a drawbridge to get cars and lorries on and off of ferries, will help the port manage the 900,000 vehicle movements that travel through it each year.

Gunwharf Quays Announces ‘Refill Me’ Initiative

Gunwharf Quays has unveiled a new green initiative, Refill Me, which allows guests to easily identify where reusable water bottles can be refilled with no obligation to purchase. Since the campaign launched earlier this month, a total of six shops at Gunwharf Quays have signed up to take part.

A level success for Portsmouth pupils

A set of twins who are ex-pupils of Springfield School are celebrating a sweep of A*s and As in their A levels after receiving their results at Havant and South Downs College today. Edward Hall achieved A*s in Geography, Economics and an A in Maths and Benjamin Hall achieved A*s in Physics and Chemistry and Maths.
