The volunteering opportunities are great way for individuals to go into their local school and support EBP South with their events that connect young people to the world of work.
There are lots of exciting one-day opportunities from events like Guess My Job with primary school children upskilling senior school pupils.

Clare Chapman: Portsmouth Business Manager at The Vet

Shaping Direcrtor Stef Nienaltowski was delighted to welcome Clare and the team from The Vet into the Shaping partnership, and met her this week to discuss how the opening of the new practice at North Harbour has gone, and what the main objectives were for this new business in Portsmouth. Stef was fascinated by set up at the clinic, as it covers a massive area and is equipped with most of the elements needed to conduct end to end care for animals, and was impressed with the passion and commitment shown by Clare and the team, who will provide a brilliant service to the city.

The Safer Portsmouth Partnership advise on Christmas crime prevention

Safer Portsmouth PartnershipThe Safer Portsmouth Partnership wanted to take this opportunity to thank the 1200 people who completed their Community Safety Survey this year. They have helped the partnership to get a picture of crime and anti-social behaviour in the city, and also to shape their Christmas Crime prevention messages. While worries about crime were far greater than actual experience of crime, the Safer Portsmouth Partnership thought they should share the most common worries and the most commonly experienced crimes.

Portsmouth City Council Leader Cllr Gerald Vernon-Jackson was shown around the local delivery office by its manager Justin Brown and was introduced to the postmen and women who will be pulling out all the stops to sort and deliver mail in Portsmouth in the Christmas period.

The festive season is Royal Mail’s busiest period, as millions of people shop online for gifts as well as sending Christmas cards and parcels. Royal Mail also plays a key role in e-commerce for many businesses, sending goods to customers throughout Christmas shopping season.
