Abri and Rexel supporting Apprentices across Portsmouth with new partnership

Working together, our partners Abri and Rexel Portsmouth are supporting Apprentices across Portsmouth, with Rexel providing a number of their new Apprentices with tool kits to help start their work placements within Abri.

Earlier this year, Abri, an award-winning organisation providing more than 38,000 homes and assets in the south and southwest of England,
announced its three main suppliers: Rexel UK, one of the largest Electrical Wholesalers in the City as the electrical supplier, Travis Perkins for main building materials supplies; and City Plumbing as the plumbing and heating materials supplier for Abri’s repairs and maintenance teams to exclusively source materials.

Dave Findlay, Head of Safer Homes at Abri, said: “Our relationship with Rexel will help us strengthen the quality, efficiency, and overall performance of our supply chain, to benefit our trades colleagues and our customers living in our homes.”

“We will also be able to standardise our electrical offer to our customers living in our homes at the same time as reducing our carbon footprint through making use of more sustainable materials, as well as implementing intelligent stock level technology to increase our responsiveness to benefit our customers.”

“What’s more, Rexel UK has pledged up to £15k to support Abri’s community projects as well as work experience and mentoring opportunities exclusively to our customers.”

Ian McGrath, Business Manager for Rexel, added, “From a Rexel point of view, locally, this is a great working relationship. Whilst in its early stages, we look forward to growing this partnership over the coming years.”
