Griffon Hoverwork recently took a lease on premises at Trafalgar Wharf in Porchester and is looking for aluminium fabricators to work on its recent order for three new hovercraft.
Emily Howes, People Director at Griffon Hoverwork, explains: “We need skilled aluminium fabricators to construct these three crafts, and we have some great opportunities to join a world-class marine manufacturer.
These roles offer competitive rates of pay, the chance to work on the leading edge of marine technology and the ultimate job satisfaction when you see these craft speed across the water for yourself.”
Griffon‘s hovercraft hulls are almost exclusively built from aluminium. To create a water-tight vessel, they need vast amounts of skilled manpower to join, bend, and weld thousands of individually cut pieces. Successful candidates will be based in Unit 3 at Trafalgar Wharf in Porchester, a short walk from Porchester train station and close to a wide variety of retail amenities.
Emily adds, “We are looking for people who have the ability and desire to add value and who wish to develop and grow with the business. Having benchmarked ourselves across the industry, we know we offer competitive salaries, and our new premises are an easy commute just off the A27.
Griffon Hoverwork has half a century of experience building hovercraft and other marine vessels, supplying over 180 robust, built-to-class hovercraft to over 41 countries worldwide. From small hovercraft to large, we are dedicated to consistently combining practical experience with cutting edge innovation. These innovations enable us to build a craft with higher payloads, more fuel-efficient and more user-friendly than any other on the market.
