Providing evidence-based resources to protect the health and wellbeing of employees within the Portsmouth business community. To support employers with up-to-date knowledge to help them protect their employees which in return will encourage long term success internally.
Objectives
- To create a bank of online health and wellbeing resources which will assist employers and their employees, encouraging businesses to create and build their own inhouse workplace health and wellbeing long term strategies.
- To design a catalogue of local organisations who can support the workplace with tips and sign posting them to accredited links.
- To build a calendar of resources linked to a variety of different wellbeing days and topics which businesses can adapt internally.
Impact
- 202 men tested for early signs of prostate cancer.
- 10 amber results, requiring further monitoring.
- 8 red results, requiring immediate referral for further testing.
- 2 confirmed diagnosis of prostate cancer that we are aware of as a result of the testing.
- 1 of which has had their prostate removed and attributes early detection to saving their life.
- in 2025:
- 56 people attended Mental Health Walk & Talks.
- 68 people attended Emergency First Aid at Work courses.
- 44 people attended Suicide First Aid Lite courses.
