After months of working with key stakeholders across the city, including Portsmouth City Council, Flying Solo, Unlocking Potential and Hope McKellar PR, we are all delighted to be launching our first set of mentoring introductions, where these mentors will be matched with their care leavers from May 2021.
The programme is being shaped with the help of former care leavers and aims to build ongoing relationships between the business community and the care leaver.
For our first round of mentors, Shaping approached our Partner organisations in the fields of media, electrical wholesales, local colleges and telecom companies. Our Partners are trusted, and we are very confident they will make excellent mentors for our city’s young people. It will also give the programme team an opportunity to ensure we reiterate the aims and objectives of the mentor relationships we are looking to build and the importance of the end-user experience.
