Join us at Portsmouth Guildhall on Friday 27th January 2023, for the Shaping Portsmouth Conference!

Our 2023 Shaping Conference carries the theme of our vision: Transforming Portsmouth Together and we have a brilliant set of speakers and updates for you. The central focus will be on the past, present, and future of what is happening to transform our city, how you can play a part, and what we as Shaping Portsmouth are doing to support our vision.

Speaking at the event will be Andrew Cullen, CEO of Portsmouth Football Club, and Hannah Prowse, CEO of The Portsmouth Naval Base Property Trust, who will be talking about the regeneration plans for Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Economic Development at Portsmouth City Council Cllr Steve Pitt will also be back for a council update and a Q&A, along with the return of the Disability Confident panel, in which Chris Hillman of the Minstead Trust speaks to young people who are at different stages of their employment journey to find out how they can make a positive impact on your business.

Between speakers, our CEO Stef Nienaltowski will be taking to the stage to lead sessions focussing on our three core pillars: Business, Education, and Community.

The ever-popular Networking time and exhibition will also be returning, as will the Shaping Portsmouth Awards. This year the awards will include the Inspire Portsmouth award, a special award presented on behalf of Imagine Portsmouth.

“With such an exciting line up, it’s great to be bringing our annual conference back to the Guildhall. We’ve seen the Conference grow year on year, and become a staple of the City’s events calendar.”

Stuart Brown
Head of Events

“I am looking forward to sharing with you the significant achievements we have made with our Partners, Volunteers, and my brilliant staff. I know you will get a great deal out of the morning and please do make it a date not to be missed.”

Stef Nienaltowski
Chief Executive Officer

Join us – let’s make a difference together!

Thank you to all of you who came to our Conference on Friday 27th January. It was the biggest ever attended by the City’s organisations, with 385 attendees from over 200 Businesses, and it was such a brilliant way to kick off the Shaping year.

We heard from a number of brilliant speakers, and I know from the networking session how much productive activity took place. Partners old and new have told me how brilliant it was to meet and connect with so many other organisations.

The focus was on our vision, Transforming Portsmouth Together, and those that spoke showed us how they and their organisations were doing their bit to do just that. From Portsmouth FC to the Guildhalls renaissance project, to the Historic Dockyards vision given by Chief Executive Hannah Prowse, it was such an exciting event. I would also like to thank our Directors, Yvonne Clay for hosting, and Hayden Taylor, Jane Lamer, and Chris Hilman, for joining me on stage to present updates on our programmes in their respective pillars.

Thank you all for your support and set your calendars for Friday 26th January 2024 when we will do it all over again, just bigger.

Stef Nienaltowski
CEO
