Project 16-24

Lead By: Stef Nienaltowski

Vision & Mission

We aim to open up opportunities for anyone in this age range by expanding their current skills and experience levels. By using information from our labour market and engaging with local employers we will offer this cohort a Roadmap to a Career.

We have joined together with partners from across the City to make a significant and ongoing difference to the opportunities of our 16 to 24 years olds, who will face more demanding and ever-changing skills and employability needs than any past generation.

Our vision is to have a set of ongoing offerings that this age group can use any anytime to increase their skills portfolio and employability opportunities. All the existing programmes run by these partners are being brought together into one database so that we can communicate what’s already on offer. This will enable us to see where there are any gaps, and fill them with new partners and/or offerings.

This is part of the overall Education vision of Shaping’s called Roadmap to a Career.

Funding from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund, has helped us to maintain the brilliant progress we are making with Project 16-24. Thanks to the Government for making this possible.
