Free Craft Market announced to take place at Portsmouth Guildhall

Following the massive success of Portsmouth Guildhall’s ‘Sampled’ Open Day last summer, the charitable organisation responsible for running the venue, The Guildhall Trust, is delighted to announce a ‘Sampled’ Craft Market that will be FREE to attend on Sunday 20th February, from 10.30am – 3.30pm.

Set across three of the Guildhalls floors, people are invited to support local small businesses and see a sample of some of the city’s most talented artists, makers and creators with up to 40 stalls offering a range of crafts and gifts, including jewellery, clothing, homeware, ceramics, art, stationery, pens, books and more.  Home to the Makers Guild and a range of creative businesses, Portsmouth Guildhall, is a hive of artistic and inventive talent. The ‘Sampled’ Craft Market offers a platform for them and creators from across the city and region to showcase their work.

Event Organiser Nick Coles said, “The idea behind our ‘Sampled’ events is to throw open the doors of the Guildhall and welcome people in to come and see what we do. We had a mini pop-up market as part of our Open Day event last summer, which was really popular so we wanted to expand on just this element and offer local creatives a platform to sell and have their work seen”.

If you would like a chance to show off your crafts and gifts, you will need to be quick to secure a stall at the Craft Market with tables available for just £15!

The event will comply with any Covid restrictions that are in place at the time of the event – people are advised to check ahead for these on the Guildhall’s website: www.portsmouthguildhall.org.uk
