Nominations are now open for the next Pamodzi Inspirational Women of Portsmouth Awards to mark International Women’s Day. Hosted by Pamodzi Creatives, the Awards are an opportunity for you to nominate any inspirational woman or girl who has made a positive impact to their community, whatever the context.
Now in its fourth year, the Pamodzi Inspirational Women of Portsmouth Awards are unique in that they celebrate ‘Award recipients’ and not ‘winners’. Roni Edwards, founder of the event said:
‘Our Award recipients are not ‘winners’ in the traditional sense. We ask you to consider who inspires you though we are not necessarily
celebrating the the most elite performers, but those who make a positive impact to their respective communities. Behind every woman or girl is a tribe
of people supporting her in different ways, so the award is the product of that whole tribe.’
Deadlines for nominations close Monday 14 February 2022.
The Awards selection panel will consist of six Trailblazers from the city with Award
Recipients being announced at a Celebration event marking International Women’s
Day on Friday 11 March at the Royal Maritime Club.
