Yesterday we hosted the Autumn Portsmouth Business Leaders Forum with over 100 delegated attending. We were being hosted by Mark Leyland, General Manager Portsmouth Marriott Hotel and were delighted to welcome Natalie Brahma-Pearl

Cllr Steve Pitt and Jane Lamer gave us the annual update on the city’s economic strategy, which included a lot to be proud about in terms of gains and advancements. Jo Morgan, founder of Engendering Change, is also the project lead for the newly formed Youth Cabinet and she was joined on stage by four members of the cabinet, Quinn, Lesley, Dami, and Chanmeet, take us through their activity and plans for their future projects.
To finish off the event, Shaping Portsmouth CEO Stef Nienaltowski and Jane Lamer announced the new Portsmouth Business Support Service, followed by a Shaping programme activity update.
Stef said “Overall it was a brilliant morning as witnessed by the networking session which has generated a great deal of cooperation within the members. My sincere thanks to Steff Jones and my whole team for putting on a brilliant event.”
It was fantastic to hear from Youth Cabinet members at our Portsmouth Business Leaders Forum about their new project to increase part-time jobs for teenagers in the city. They would like to hear from you about your perspective on this so, please complete their short survey here.
The Youth Cabinet would like to showcase local businesses who have been trailblazers in supporting this initiative at our conference on January 26th. Please consider getting involved and contact Jo Morgan at jo@engenderingchange.co.uk for further details.
