Fair Ways is a charity that provides Childrens services, meaning that they provide Fostering, Education, Residential care, Mental Health, and Family services. In total they look after about 800 children, young people and adults each year.
Their Christmas Appeal this year is to raise awareness and practical assistance for Care Leavers.
Christmas is an especially difficult time for Care leavers. This can include the challenges of living alone and hungry with no family network for support.
Fair Ways are partnering with care campaigner Chris Wild and will be distributing 100% of all funds and items they collect via Portsmouth City Council directly to Care leavers.
Gareth Webb, Managing Director of Fair Ways, said “We are asking you and your team for whatever support they can provide. You may have seen our collection points at the receptions in Building 1000 and Building 2000. Alternatively, we will happily take donations to our GoFundMe page and arrange for the purchase and distribution of items. Thank you for your support. It is really appreciated, and may we wish you, your teams, and their families a happy and peaceful Christmas.”
