Similar to our work on the Armed Forces Covenant and the Care Leavers Covenant, we are committed to showing our Patrons and Partners, as well as all Portsmouth Businesses the benefits of employing people with Disabilities.
Nothing demonstrates this more, than our work on the Shaped by Solent programme, supporting our Patron, Solent Academies Trust. This project encourages young students with SEN to consider their future and take their first steps into the business world.
The logical next step for Shaping Portsmouth is to work with our business community, to make sure there are Disability Confident Employers in our city, ready to harness the talents of these young people as they leave education.
