We’re excited to kick off our first 2025 PSA Screening Event on Tuesday, 21st January, in partnership with the Prostate Cancer Support Organisation (PCaSO) and Portsmouth Marriott Hotel.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK, with 1 in 8 men being diagnosed in their lifetime. For Afro-Caribbean men, the risk increases to 1 in 4. Early detection is crucial, and a PSA test, a simple blood test, can help identify potential prostate issues early on.

We’re offering Portsmouth businesses a subsidised PSA screening for male employees aged 40 and over. Each test costs £20 per person, with cost shared equally between the business and Shaping Portsmouth.
Important Notes:
- If you are booking independently of your organisation, payment can be made in cash or via bank transfer at the venue (instructions will be provided).
- If you book as an individual and cannot attend, you will still be charged.
- Tests cost £20 per person which will be split equally between Shaping Portsmouth and the organisation/individual.
