The Big Business Giveaway Returns!

Citrus Facilities Management and Shaping Portsmouth have again partnered for the 2026 Big Business Giveaway, but this year’s prize is even bigger thanks to the Portsmouth Business Community supporting our 2026 giveaway.

Following on from last year’s success where Citrus Facilities Management and Shaping Portsmouth gave a prize valued at £2,500 to support business growth to First Steps First Aid, the Big Business Giveaway is back for 2026. However, this year we have brought in some friends from across the Portsmouth Business Community to put together a prize that will really elevate a local start up business.

Daniel O’Brien, Managing Director of Citrus Facilities Management said “Local businesses are the backbone of Portsmouth. When we support each other, the whole community benefits. That’s why I’m proud to run the Business Big Giveaway for a second year. I want new businesses to have a real chance to succeed, even in a tough economy. By backing each other and protecting the Pompey Pound, we help local businesses grow. I’m putting up my own money because I believe another local business deserves the opportunity to thrive.”

Dave Humphries, CEO of Shaping Portsmouth said “This initiative shows just how great the Portsmouth business community is. Where else would you see local businesses rallying together to provide so much free support to a local start-up business. This is a really valuable prize but the connections the winning business will make, with some real experts in their field will be absolutely invaluable.”

Businesses wanting to win this have until Weds 15th April to apply via the application form here explaining how they will use this prize to benefit the local community in some way.

The only conditions are that the business must be less than two years old and based within the Portsmouth unitary or Havant, Fareham or Gosport Borough Council areas.

Submissions will be judged by our expert panel consisting of:

  • Joe Gamlin – Portsmouth City Council Business Support
  • Rod Sessions – Commercial Director at Hampshire Flag Company
  • Alison Lee – Managing Director Biscoes Solicitors
  • Dan O’Brien – Managing Director Citrus Facilities Management
  • Dave Humphries – CEO Shaping Portsmouth

The winner will be announced on the Express FM breakfast show at the end of April.
