Announcing our new Programme Leads

Dominic Jones with Shaping Portsmouth CEO Dave Humphries

Our volunteer team expanded last month as we welcomed new Leads and Co-Leads for several of our programmes.

In our Community Pillar, Tony Sammut from Gunwharf Quays and Dominic Jones from the Mary Rose Trust are our new Co-Leads for our Choose Employability programme, and Sandie Davis from Spark Community Space has joined Hasmukh “Husky” Patel as Co-Lead for the Charity Support Network.

Amy Cusack, our Community Pillar Lead, said “I’m so excited that all of these Programme Leads have agreed to come on board with us. These individuals are key faces within the city of Portsmouth, with incredible amounts of influence and experience in their respective areas, so I know that they will really give these programmes an amazing boost. Their backgrounds also mean that within both the Charity Support Network and Choose Employability programmes, the Programme Leads represent both charities and businesses in the city, further developing an intertwined network of Portsmouth Businesses and Charities.”

Over in our Education pillar, Jason Sexton, Commercial and Operations Director at the Mary Rose Trust, has joined as Co-Lead for our Shaped By Solent programme.

Suzan Win Latt, Education Pillar Lead, said “I am delighted to welcome Jason as our Co-Lead, alongside Georgina Shepherd. With his strong background in operations and commercial industry expertise, Jason will not only provide valuable mentorship and guidance to our mentors, but also offer his expert insight into how we can shape the students’ products towards a commercially viable standard, all while ensuring they are encouraged to explore their full creative potential.”
