UoP Civic University

The University of Portsmouth wants to be a force for good for our region so that the residents of Portsmouth – those who grew up, live, and work in the area – and the surrounding areas to be proud of the University, to know them and work together for the good of our region. They want to raise the aspiration and attainment for our city and region, with community partners, and continue to be a major economic force in the city. A renewed emphasis on the civic element of the university also allows them to work more strategically and collaboratively with other anchor institutions in the city to achieve collective goals.
