International Men’s Day 2024 is fast approaching, and the stage is set for an extraordinary celebration of positive male role models. Portsmouth’s official event, organised by Dadzclub, is back for its third consecutive year, and the focus is clear: it’s time to shine a light on the inspirational men in our community.
Dadzclub, a passionate advocate for promoting positive male voices and inspiring others, is leading the charge. On this International Men’s Day, they invite everyone to join the mission by participating in an inclusive event being held on Friday 22nd November that unites people and organisations, creating a platform to listen, share, and inspire.

The heart of the evening will be the Appreciation Awards Ceremony, where Dadzclub will celebrate and honour truly inspirational men and boys. The awards will be presented in categories such as Dadzclub Parenting Award, Mental Health & Wellbeing, Community and Inclusion, Unsung Hero, Inspiring Young Male, and Overcoming Adversity.
This year’s mystery venue, The Forge, has an exciting surprise in store for all attendees. The Forge will be making a major announcement about its future purpose and use, a development that is set to have a profound impact on the local community.
To further ignite the spirit of inspiration, Dadzclub are thrilled to introduce their guest speaker, Colin MacLachlan who served over 25 years in the British Army, much of it in the elite SAS, seeing action in Iraq and Afghanistan. He transitioned from military service to public recognition through SAS: Who Dares Wins, a Channel 4 show that tests civilians with gruelling challenges inspired by SAS training. Drawing on his personal experiences, Colin’s down-to-earth yet determined approach has made him a relatable and motivational figure for many.
