Red Sauce Theatre Company is working collaboratively with Film Crew 4 U CIC and Global Visions CIC to deliver a performance celebrating the Queens Platinum Celebrations and have been awarded £10,000 in funding from the National Lottery.
Red Sauce Theatre has an inclusive theatre company every Monday and Tuesday. They regularly perform theatrical productions; the Inclusive company has been together for four years and consists of 14 local people living with various learning disabilities. Rachel Goodall, a former teacher from Hampshire, says that it’s her dream for the Inclusive performers to work professionally in the local area, delivering performances to the elderly in care homes.
Red Sauce Theatres’ professional cast has been funded to support the inclusive company to deliver the performance called “The Promise ” which will be performed at Portsmouth Guildhalls Studio on 6th June during the celebrations of the Queen’s Jubilee.
Film Crew 4 U, Director Billy Stevenson, will be on hand throughout the rehearsal process and engage with the cast, using green screen technology, creating short films, and teaching some incredible new skills to the team!
Global Visions will be creating new and wonderful sounds with the cast and backing tracks for the production. As a visually impaired, Creative is interested in everyone being able to participate and watch the show regardless of disability.
All three companies are now firm friends and are looking forward to a new learning experience, sharing a rehearsal space and working as a collaborative, learning and sharing their skills.

On 3rd May, they will be having an “Open Rehearsal” any organisation or person interested in the project can come along and watch a “behind the scenes experience” It will be held at the National Museum of the Royal Navy,
Rachel said, “It really is a dream come true and the cast are over the moon.”
