Shaping welcomes SLR Recruitment as a Patron

Shaping Portsmouth is pleased to announce that SLR Recruitment has joined us as a Patron.

SLR Recruitment’s goal is to connect time-served marine and industrial tradespeople to employers in the shipbuilding and refit business around the UK, having built relationships with national shipyards to provide them with the skilled tradespeople they need for the marine industry.

Sarah Roads, Founder and CEO of SLR Recruitment, said “SLR Recruitment was born out of a passion for the Marine Industry, supplying tradespeople and technical professionals to various shipbuilding and ship-refit businesses in Portsmouth, surrounding areas, and across the UK. We are proud to be a Patron of Shaping Portsmouth, as we are passionate about our City and creating local jobs for local people.
“As an ex-seafarer, who also lives and raises her family in Portsmouth, Owner and Director Sarah Roads has a fervent desire to be involved in various projects around the City, is a regional governor for TSAT – working with apprentices and the Portsmouth Council restart project and a non-executive board member for the Inspirational Women of Portsmouth awards.”

Stef Nienaltowski, CEO of Shaping Portsmouth, said “In 2021 Shaping Portsmouth set out to Partner with those organisations in the city that shared our vision to Transform Portsmouth Together. In meeting Sarah and the team at SLR Recruitment Solutions we saw straight away that they were a perfect partner to work with. Their own words from their website says, “We are a group of talented, motivated, and competitive professionals who care deeply about helping people secure great opportunities” and that’s why I know this new Patronage will be such a valuable one for both our organisations and the city as a whole.
“Sarah and her team want to play a full Partnership role with us and that’s why I am so excited that we are announcing them today as our first new Patron of 2023. I look forward to welcoming them to Conference later in January, but for now I want to thank Sarah for her confidence in what we are doing, and I look forward to them playing their full part in Shaping going forward. “
