Discover the incredible and unique pieces of artwork at The Collective, showcasing the talent of pupils from The Solent Academies Trust. Located at the Highbury Arundel Centre building in PO1 1ND. The shop is home to the winning product from the 2023 Shaped by Solent programme. The programme allowed SEND pupils the opportunity to gain invaluable experience business, and public speaking. With the sale of the product at the Shaping Portsmouth conference and now at The Collective, they are also gaining retail experience.
The Shaped by Solent programme brings together The Solent Academies Trust, Shaping Portsmouth, and a range of high-profile businesses and businesspeople in the Shaping Portsmouth partnership portfolio. The programme encourages the pupils to brainstorm, create, and present their products at the Dragons Den. The winning team will then get a free stall at the Shaping Portsmouth Conference to sell their product.
The Cascades team from the Redwood Park Academy won the 2023 competition, with their keyring and trolley token.
When you visit The Collective, you will be greeted by warm and passionate students and staff who are proud of their work. They are eager to share their experiences and showcase the unique pieces they have created. The shop is open three days a week, Tuesday through Thursday at 10 am.
