Mary Rose Academy is a special school for 181 pupils aged 2-19 years, they provide a highly specialist, personalised curriculum for young people with the most profound, severe and complex learning difficulties. In addition, the majority of pupils have co-occurring needs including ASC, severe physical disabilities and highly complex medical conditions. The Friends of Mary Rose Academy are currently fundraising to help the Mary Rose Academy purchase a new minibus. A new fully accessible minibus would mean that the pupils are better able to get ‘out and about’ to explore their community and to take part in activities which are, too often, inaccessible to children with disabilities.
How can you help? Would you consider having a fundraising night, or take on a personal challenge in aid of them? Perhaps you would like to donate a prize for their summertime Family BBQ raffle (July 6th). They also can provide you with a money collection box to capture small change from your customers. Or could you sell some raffle tickets?
