We at Shaping are very pleased to welcome The News as the latest local organisation to become a Patron.
Since the very start of Shaping’s formation The News has been a great supporter of our work and has helped us with both news coverage and Editor Mark Waldron’s personal commitment and activity on a number of the programmes and projects we have run.
It is therefore such a momentous day in our evolution that The News become a Patron of Shaping, and can and will further support the work we are doing to make Portsmouth the number 1 city in the UK to Invest, Live, Learn, Work and Visit. Their position in the City is unique, and their influence significant, and we welcome the Partnership we will build to help us achieve our Vision.
Stef Nienaltowski, CEO of Shaping Portsmouth, said “You will have seen a number of City organisations join Shaping this year and The News is the latest in this wonderful growth we have experienced. This latest and newest Partnership is one that all of our volunteers and supporters will welcome given the status of the News and its excellent reputation in the City.
“Welcome Mark and team and thank you for having the confidence in us to deliver our part of the Partnership.”
Mark Waldron, Editor of The News, said “The News is passionate about Portsmouth, promotes all that is positive about the city and works hard to ensure that local communities remain connected. Our pride in shining the spotlight on all that is good extends to our local businesses and to the business men and women who are making a difference.
“So it is a perfect fit for us to be part of the Shaping Portsmouth mission – backing business, the education sector and the community in a shared vision to make Portsmouth the UK’s number one city in which to invest, live, learn, work and visit.”
