TRACOuk Reflect On Being 1 Of 1000 UK B Corps!

Managing Director, Jason Bentley OF TRACOuk, travelled up to the Natural History Museum in London for an amazing night of celebrating with B Corp UK!

TRACOuk is a B Corp & Registered Social Enterprise company who are committed to doing the right thing socially and environmentally with used F&E. Certified B-Corps are a new kind of business that balances purpose and profit.

The evening brought together 1000 people from around the UK, who is part of the B Corp community to together celebrate the growth of the movement. There was live music, speeches, and lots of treats.

You may be wondering what being a B Corp means for a company… well let us tell you!

Having been certified as a B Corporation last year, TRACOuk became 1 of 1000 UK companies that also share the same accreditation. B-Corp Certification is a designation that a business is meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and input materials.

To be a B-Corp means you strive to become a company that is best for the world, not just the best in the world. It means B-Corps place equal weight on people and the planet in addition to making a profit. It also means you consider all stakeholders and not just maximising shareholder returns. Hitherto the majority of companies placed shareholder returns above all else… this is changing… and it’s changing very fast.

In June 2022, TRACOuk received their certificate for becoming a ‘Best For The World 2022’ winner! TRACOuk is recognised as being at the very top of the category and leads the way in benefiting all people, communities, and the planet!

Every year, B Lab recognizes the top-performing B-Corps creating great impact through their businesses. These B-Corps are named ‘Best for the World’, as their verified scores in the five impact areas evaluated on the B Impact Assessment – community, customers, environment, governance, and workers – are amongst the global top 5% in their corresponding size group.

These businesses are proving that competing not only to be the best in the world, but the best for the world, is a winning strategy, and they can lead the way as more businesses continue to join the movement that is transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.
