Class Information
The Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed to meet the stringent requirements of the HSE guidance and Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. This comprehensive course is suited to any workplaces who have completed a first aid needs assessment and have recognised a requirement for first aid trained staff. The course is perfect for staff working in low-risk workplaces or workplaces with a small volume of staff.

- Experienced paramedic instructors.
- HSE compliant certificate on successful completion.
- Fully certified for 3 years from date of completion.
Essential Information
Please wear suitable clothes that you are comfortable in; loose-fitting trousers, leggings, or jeans. You will need to be observed to perform CPR and other tasks as part of the assessment criteria. This requires learners to kneel on the floor next to the casualty. Please ensure you are able to perform this for the assessment.
Each Class is restricted to 12 learners as per HSE guidelines. You are able to book more than 12 learners as we will provide more instructors/time and or split into multiple classes.
Assessment
Your instructor will monitor your progress throughout the practical sessions and assist you to meet the required learning outcomes.
Refresher Training
The HSE and FAIB recommend all learners undertakeannual refresher training. We offer an e-learningpackage or we can arrange a 3 hour refreshersession with your cohort.
Certification
On completion of the course, learners receive an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate valid for 3 years. Your certificate will comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.
Make sure to bring photo ID – our trainer will request sight of this for certification purposes.

To support your learning and provide a valuable reference after your course, FSFA offer the Emergency First Aid at Work Handbook (A5) for purchase for £9.75. This handbook is fully aligned with the course content and is the perfect resource to reference throughout your 3-year certification period.
