The 2026 Shaping Portsmouth Apprenticeship Bus has finally landed and from today is in service across the city.
Our very eye catching 2026 wrap was designed by City of Portsmouth College student Anya Velex and celebrates apprenticeships and the city’s centenary. We are enormously grateful to Stagecoach Group Limited for continuing to support our Apprenticeship Bus programme and to Mediafleet for providing the wrap.
The bus will be formally launched and then visit pupils across 11 secondary schools during National Apprenticeship Week from 9th Feb – 13th Feb. This is all made possible by our fantastic programme sponsors Comserv, HTP Apprenticeship College, Portico Port Services, University of Portsmouth and Inspire Futures Ltd. We are also extremely grateful to all the organisations providing apprentices to take part and to Portsmouth Creates CIC for facilitating the wrap competition. Particularly, we are really grateful to Simon Ingram and Chloe Bolton our incredible volunteer programme leads who put the passion and drive into making this initiative happen.
Apprenticeships provide a route to a long term career, they are not just about trades and give apprentices the ability to earn while they learn. Bringing pupils face to face with apprentices provides them an opportunity to really understand the benefits an apprenticeship can bring.
Please look out for the bus on routes around Portsmouth and if you see it please post a picture with the hashtag #SpotTheBus
