Our Charity Support programme is looking for donations of unwanted technology that we can redistribute to local charities as part of our Digital Enablement initiative.
In particular we are looking for laptops and mobile phones, and we have received a request for a projector, but any working technology will be considered.
Our last generous donation from Portico Shipping allowed us to help out 11 Portsmouth-based charities and organisations with tech bundles, including providing URBOND with several monitors to significantly enhance their new multi-purpose space.
This space will host employability and CV workshops, youth development sessions and revision classes. The donated monitors will enable larger groups to participate, though they still need additional laptops or desktops to fully equip the area. This project also sparked valuable local collaboration between two nearby organisations, revealing shared interests that had not been explored before.
