We at Shaping Portsmouth are looking for someone to join us as volunteer Programme Lead for our Care Leavers programme in our education pillar.
This programme provides support for young people after leaving care, and prepares those still in the care system for their next steps. The programme is being shaped with the help of former care leavers and aims to build ongoing relationships between the business community and the care leaver.
The role includes working with Shaping Portsmouth’s senior management team to create and agree the objectives of the programme for 2023, which together we will execute, and leading the programme stakeholder team which is responsible for the vision and actions for the programme, with the support of the Shaping Portsmouth operations and administration department.
Other responsibilities include working with the Head of Marketing & Communications to keep the website page up to date and sharing successful news stories, to keep a record and help create a report every 3 months for the quarterly Board meetings (although not required to attend), and to regularly communicate with the main programme group and help support any new recruits within Portsmouth.
