The Shaping Portsmouth team are pleased to welcome Imogen Hambry, who has joined us for a two-week work experience placement. Imogen is passionate about Business, which she is studying at Trafalgar School, and would like to one day become a Project Manager.
Imogen said “When looking for work experience, I was really struggling to find a place where I could learn as well as understand the role I would like to go into in the future. I would really like to become a project manager, so when telling the school about it one of my teachers told me about Shaping Portsmouth. After hearing everything that they do I knew that this is where I wanted to do my work experience.
Being here I have learnt so much about how a not-for-profit business works, how a business comes together, as well as learning new skills to help me in my future life.”
Sam McGrath, Director of Operations and Marketing at Shaping Portsmouth, said “One of our goals at Shaping Portsmouth is to inspire Portsmouth’s young people aged 14-19 through the real-life experiences of a diverse pool of role models. Imogen is a role model to me in her own right, she made this opportunity work by being proactive, confident, and having a clear vision for her future and her career. I have no doubts that Imogen will be one of our future business leaders in Portsmouth. There will be no stopping her once she leaves school and she has our full support in making her vision into a reality.”
