Step into Summer with our Mental Health Walk & Talks!

We’re thrilled to announce the return of our Workplace Health & Wellbeing programme’s Mental Health Walk & Talks for this summer season, kicking off during Mental Health Awareness week on Wednesday May 14th, at Lakeside North Harbour, between 10:00 and 11:00am.

Join us for a morning of connecting, an opportunity to boost well-being while enjoying some fresh air and company.

You might already know that getting active is great for your physical health, but did you realise the powerful impact it has on your mind too? Studies have consistently shown that even a short walk can lead to significant improvements in our mental state.

Our Mental Health Walk & Talks are open to everyone – the more the merrier! Feel free to bring along your dogs, kids, partners, and friends. It’s a fantastic way to build a healthy, happy, and connected team.

No need to register, just turn up and join us at 10 am on May 14th! We can’t wait to see you there and take some positive steps together, pun intended 😁.

Here’s what a stroll can do for you:

  • Need a quick mood lift? Just 10 minutes of brisk walking can release endorphins, those natural mood boosters that leave you feeling happier and more positive.
  • Feeling stressed or anxious? Walking helps to lower cortisol levels, your body’s main stress hormone, promoting a sense of calm and reducing racing thoughts.
  • Looking to sharpen your focus? Getting out for a walk can enhance your cognitive function, improving your attention span and sparking creativity. You might just find the solution to that tricky problem while you’re out and about!
  • Craving connection? Our Walk & Talks provide a fantastic opportunity to connect with your colleagues outside of the usual work environment.
  • Want better sleep? Regular walking can help regulate your sleep patterns, leading to more restful and rejuvenating nights

Our Mental Health Walk & Talks will continue monthly through the summer until October.
