Successful Launch of Mental Health Breakfast Networking Event

Our first Mental Health Matters Breakfast Networking event kicked off during Mental Health Awareness Week on Monday 12th May, bringing together like-minded business professionals for meaningful conversations about workplace wellbeing.

Hosted in partnership with Solent Mind as part of our Workplace Health & Wellbeing programme, the event created a supportive environment for open dialogue on tools to support employee mental health, the vital work of Portsmouth’s Wellbeing Centre, and available workplace wellbeing training programmes.

The breakfast gathering provided attendees with valuable networking opportunities while facilitating important discussions about mental health resources and workplace support systems. Participants engaged in meaningful conversations that highlighted both the challenges and solutions surrounding mental health in professional environments.

Marian Glover, Business Pillar Lead, said “The event went well and we’re thrilled with the positive response from attendees. We’re hoping this is the first of many such events, and people should watch this space for future dates as we continue to build our Workplace Health & Wellbeing programme.”

The initiative represents a significant step forward in addressing workplace mental health, offering a platform for professionals to connect, share experiences, and access vital resources. The partnership with Solent Mind brings valuable expertise and support to the programme’s ongoing efforts.

Future sessions are already being planned as part of the expanding Workplace Health & Wellbeing programme. If you’re interested in learning more about upcoming initiatives and accessing available resources, visit the programme webpage for additional information and updates.
