FORM+FUNCTION CIC is a new, one-of-its-kind, change-making creative studio in Portsmouth.
They sat down to work in their first studio on Highland Road on International Women’s Day (8th March) 2020 and have been making friends and influencing people across the city ever since.
In just over a year, FORM+FUNCTION delivered the following projects:
- Belmont Path
Curated the installation of a 45m long, 3+ metre high mural in a popular but unsafe public pathway as part of a city-wide initiative to tackle violence against women and girls in Portsmouth.
- Orchard Park Project
Complete regeneration of much-loved but dilapidated basketball court (and surrounding walkways) on Goldsmith Avenue. - Safe to be SPOOKY!
Covid and stranger safe neighbourhood Halloween trick-or-treat trail event offered a fun, free and creative solution to build community at a local level. - Covid-19 Arts Ads
Re-purposing disused billboards in Fratton and digital advertising boards across the city to display positive messaging to key workers by local creatives. - www.sometimes.shop
Online pop-up shop to sell artwork by local creatives, 100% of the proceeds of which were donated to a local stalking and domestic abuse charity.

- Pompey Parklets
A pilot scheme in Portsmouth to green our streets, encourage active travel, bring the local community together and support the independent business through public installations on Albert and Highland Road. - Platform: Portsmouth’s Women’s Network
F+F Director Annabel is one of the founding members of Platform – Portsmouth’s first cross-industry networking organisation, which aims to connect and elevate women’s standing within the city. - S.A.D (Street Art District) Pompey
An ‘urban regeneration through art’ scaleable format which aims to create a network of mini-cultural destinations throughout the city.
