Risk Factors
Unlike many cancers, there are few strong risk factors for testicular cancer. To reduce your risk of developing cancer take a look at some of the general lifestyle factors below:
- Stopping Smoking
- Drinking alcohol in moderation
- Eating healthily
- Keeping active
Main Symptoms
1
- Change in shape (lump) or texture
- Increase in firmness
- Aches or heaviness in the scrotum
2
- Breasts swelling or tender
3
- Back pain
Testicular Self Examination
It’s quite normal for one testicle to be slightly larger than the other, and for one to hang a bit lower than the other.
Both should however be roughly the same size and smooth to the touch.
It is good to check after a shower when the scrotum will be warm and relaxed.
