The Queens Hotel becomes a Shaping Portsmouth Patron

We are pleased to welcome The Queens Hotel as our latest Patron, As announced at our Business Leaders Group meeting last week, held at the hotel.

Training and developing the talent of tomorrow is a major focus of the hotels, and they are creating an apprenticeship programme to nurture and develop their talented team.

Catherine Austen, General Manager at the Queens Hotel, said “As a well established business in the heart of Southsea, the Queens Hotel sees itself as being very much part of the local community. For more than 150 years people have been coming to the Queens to celebrate everything from weddings and anniversaries to birthdays and oft times just for the heck of it …

“We are proud to become a Shaping Portsmouth patron and we look forward to further immersing ourselves in the activities being led by the organisation. Together we can achieve so much more and we look forward to promoting our wonderful city on a national and international stage.”

Stef adds “I am delighted that Fared, Catherine, Kate and the team from the Queens Hotel have become the latest organisation to join Shaping as a Patron. Their support to give opportunities to young people is excellent, through their Apprenticeship programmes and their overall focus on given people of any age a chance to succeed. This philosophy mirrors that of ours at Shaping and hence it is with a lot of excitement that I formally welcome them to the Shaping team.

“The recent Business Leaders Group meeting held at the Queens was the perfect launchpad for this new Partnership of ours. I am looking forward to work with Catherine, Kate and the team on our programmes and projects we are running in the city. “
