Crowdfund Portsmouth is an innovative collaboration between Shaping Portsmouth, Portsmouth City Council and Crowdfunder that provides a crowdfunding platform for people and organisations in the Portsmouth area to raise money in support of business ideas or community-based projects that benefit the local economy. Whether a new business startup or an existing SME looking to grow, if an idea or project successfully gains the backing of the people of Portsmouth through its crowdfunding campaign, it may also be eligible for match funding worth up to £5000.
Here are some Portsmouth projects currently Crowdfunding:
The Interior Port: Heather Walters-Pierce is aiming to raise £10,000 to open a much-needed Home & Gift shop in Southsea, which will incorporate her existing business of Leather Heather Crafts.
Los Dos Amigos: A local restaurant/takeaway in Albert Road, Southsea, which has been trading since September 2020. Founders Lee and Rich are aiming to raise £10,000 to expand and get a second premise in the north area of Portsmouth, somewhere around the Hilsea area, enabling them to deliver to more PO areas.
Strong Island Clothing Co: The well-known Southsea-based institution is aiming to raise £15,000 to get to the next level by setting up a professional in-house studio to print their own products.
Destination Portsmouth 20th Anniversary Board Game: To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original Portsmouth-based board game, Rachel Lowe is raising £10,000https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/destination-portsmouth-20th-anniversary-board-game to create a special edition featuring updated locations and a double-sided board.
