Wightlink Ferries welcomes Dan Haynes as Head of Retail

Dan Haynes has joined Wightlink Ferries as Head of Retail. He is responsible for the 14 cafés and shops onboard ferries and at ports throughout the company with more than 80 members of staff.

Dan’s career began with a job at House of Fraser in his home town of Shrewsbury, followed by other posts in retail and hospitality. He then joined Southern Co-op where he worked for 13 years, most recently as Area Manager with responsibility for stores along the south coast and on the Isle of Wight.

Wightlink’s outlets sell a wide range of refreshments for hungry travellers, with the majority sourced locally. They include sandwiches, cakes and savouries from Grace’s Bakery in Ryde, hot drinks with milk from Briddlesford Farm Dairy, Island Ales and Wight Crystal water.

“I share Wightlink’s passion for buying locally,” says Dan. “Feedback from our customers shows they appreciate supporting local businesses and the quality of Island produce is second to none.

“We are proud to sell products from many excellent Isle of Wight companies and are working with them so they can grow their businesses with us and delight more customers.”
