Despite a particularly difficult year for students and staff across the UK, at Portsmouth College, part of City of Portsmouth College, are celebrating excellent A Level and Level 3 vocational results. Across the college, 99% of students have passed their qualifications and 57% achieved the highest grades of A*-B at A Level and Distinction Star/Distinction on Level 3 Vocational Programmes.

INDIVIDUAL SUCCESS STORIES
Amy Brazier achieved A*/A*/A/A* in A Level English and Language and Literature, Psychology, Mathematics and the Extended Project Qualification. Amy is progressing to the University of Oxford to study Experimental Psychology.
Joshua Stetford, achieved A*/A/A in A Level Law, Economics and Politics. Josh is taking a gap year and will be applying to University of Cambridge for 2022 entry.
Aqsa Zartash Pervaiz achieved A*/A*/A* in A Level Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics and is progressing to Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
Stephen Rowland achieved D*/D*/D* in Music Technology and Music Performance and is progressing to Winchester University to study Music Production and Technology.
Rebecca Myers achieved A*/A/A in A Level Politics, History and Biology and is progressing to the University of Oxford to study History and Politics.
CITY OF PORTSMOUTH COLLEGE
In August 2021, Portsmouth College and Highbury College merged to form City of Portsmouth College. The joint organisation offers a full range of Level 3 provision with vocational BTEC success celebrated today at the Highbury Campus in Cosham.
The College’s Level 3 health & social care provision, which includes the unique Nurse Cadet Programme, celebrated with 75% high grades, 29% gaining D*D*D* (equivalent to three grade A*s at A Level). The computing department also impressed with 67% of students achieving high grades (33% with D*D*D*) on the software pathway and 78% high grades on the networking pathway. Other highlights include 100% of students achieving high grades on the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media course and a 100% increase in high grades in Core Maths.
