Our Care Leavers programme under, Choose Employability, has secured another position, with Jamie Coles joining Mountjoy.
Jamie is working with one of Mountjoy’s experienced general builders predominately undertaking roofing, brickwork, and other external and internal building repairs.
If all goes well and he is settled. He will then be considered for a potential apprenticeship in Property Maintenance for September 2024.
Paul Deluchi, Senior Contracts Manager at Mountjoy, said “It is so encouraging to give this opportunity to a young person in the community who needed that initial link up with a local Business. Shaping Portsmouth have been the catalyst to facilitating this, and I am confident that both Mountjoy Ltd and Jamie will work well together, and hopefully, Jamie considers the next steps to becoming an apprentice and then a tradesman.
Hopefully, with the support of Mountjoy Ltd, he will see his aspirations unfold and have a bright future ahead of him”
