SMEs learn to control their carbon footprint with the NetZero 360 workshop

We are thrilled to announce that we successfully concluded our NetZero 360 workshop yesterday. This FREE two-part workshop, organized by our Business Climate Action Group programme in collaboration with Solent Business & Skills Solutions, provided businesses with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate achieving net zero sustainability.

Tailored specifically for SMEs, the NetZero 360 workshops aim to establish a solid foundation in net zero business practices and offer a step-by-step guide to measuring, monitoring, and enhancing one’s carbon footprint.
The NetZero 360 workshops are designed to empower businesses with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the complex landscape of net zero sustainability.

The tracking of an organisation’s carbon footprint is a crucial step in any business’s carbon reduction journey to achieving net zero. During the second half of the workshop, we focused on data collection and entry. By tracking, measuring, and comprehending your company’s emissions, you’re well-positioned to make improvements.

This user-friendly tool empowers you to measure your organisation’s footprint independently, comprehensively, and accurately. It encompasses all three scopes of carbon emissions as defined by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.

We firmly believe that “you cannot manage what you can’t measure!”

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the attendees and presenters who contributed to the success of both NetZero 360 workshops.

Sam McGrath, Director of Operations and Marketing at Shaping Portsmouth, said¬†“We are thrilled to welcome and engage with 12 diverse local businesses, ranging in size and scope, on the 7th and 14th of November. Through our long-standing partnership with the Solent Apprenticeship Hub, we orchestrated a powerful and co-branded FREE Net Zero 360 workshop. We firmly believe that this initiative has created a greater impact than previous initiatives within this programme.

“Our anticipation is high as we gear up to delve into a new 2024 schedule, dedicated to supporting an extensive array of sectors across Portsmouth. We’re driven by the ambition to make a profound difference in as many industries as possible.”

We hope to run more of these workshops in the new year.

Our journey towards a greener, more sustainable future continues! Let’s work together to make a positive impact!
